NJ Senate attempts to define legal rights of surrogate parenting

New Jersey Lawmakers are once more attempting to clarify surrogate parenting law after the same bill was vetoed in 2012 by Chris Christie. The new bill would place forth concrete definitions in regards to progress in fertility treatments, especially cases relating to gestational carriers.

NJ Justices Weigh Applying DWI Warrant Rule Retroactively

Earlier this month, New Jersey's highest court began deliberation over the Missouri v. McNeely ruling from 2013 made by the U.S. Supreme Court which had mandated that law enforcement would need a search warrant before drawing a blood or urine sample from drunk driving suspects. There is no word on how many past cases the decision would effect as the courts would apply the law retroactively.

Officially Law: Christie Signs Major NJ Alimony Reform

Alimony reform in New Jersey has been a hot topic this year, and last week Governor Chris Christie signed a batch of finalized bills into law. The included alimony reform package will utterly change how alimony will be awarded in new divorce cases, which specially gives a written ruling award analysis.
